Study Tecnical Computer Systems Engineering in Comillas Pontifical University - ICAI (Madrid)

Computer Systems and IT Engineering in one of the branches of engineering, whose distinguishing characteristic is that the material it manipulates is information. With the support of physical devices (hardware), information is managed by means of systems whose components carry out the basic functions (like those of other engineering specialties) of storage, transport, processing and control.

The presence of Computer Systems and IT Engineering in all aspects of our daily lives is increasingly evident, which is why ICAI prepares its computer engineers to deal with complex tasks in all types of business sectors, resolving diverse and complex problems in terms of scope and responsibility at an abstract level.

Tecnical Computer Systems Engineering are highly sought-out professionals by the business sector because of their ability to resolve problems related to corporate computer infrastructures as well as the planning, development and administration of information systems. To this end, special emphasis is placed on subjects dealing with physical devices, computer architecture, data transmission, operating systems and formal programming languages.

ICAI offers two Technical Computer Systems and IT Engineering degrees: in Computer Programming and IT Management Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering. The first year is the same in both study programmes, which allows the student to choose his area of specialisation at the start of his second year. The study programmes have been designed so that the students develop the capacity and skills a Technical Computer Systems and IT Engineering will need. In spite of the traditionally high academic demands of ICAI studies, the students' performance is very high, with a very low drop out rate and an average duration of 4 years (Including the Final Year Project). Throughout their studies the students receive the constant guidance and support of teachers and tutors.
